New GAL Synchronization Walkthrough
The MIIS product team has been listening to customer feedback on the walkthroughs that are available with the product to help folks learn how MIIS works, and how to use it in certain scenarios. As part of this effort, a new version of the GAL Synchronization walkthrough has just been released. Note that if you've already installed the old MIIS walkthroughs, you should uninstall them prior to installing the new package.
Bugs and errors in the original GAL Synch walkthrough have been corrected, it has been updated to support MIIS Service Pack 1, and the sample data has been reduced from hundreds of users to tens of users. An additional section has been added demonstrating how to use GALSynch to synch contact objects between forests for use by Live Communications Server 2005 SP1.
This package contains the new GAL Synch walkthrough as well as all of the other walkthroughs, some of which have also been updated since the original release and the time I began this blog. For those of you who are interested in learning about MIIS, the walkthroughs are a great resource and the MIIS team has done a great job on putting these together.
